Raised by her father, Lila lives cloistered in a house on a snowy island. Ever since she was very young, her father has been protecting her from a curse. One day, he goes away for quite along time. Lila is convinced that he has been taken prisoner and goes off in search of him. She discovers a forest asleep under the snow, populated by enigmatic jizos and a white wolf who seems to want to watch over her.
